Printing House Gym: New York's Best Kept Secret; Assuming This Does Not Reach The Masses
Most people in New York with interest in staying in shape head toward some of the more well known, flashy gyms in the city magnified due to their impressive list of celebrity clientel. Having seen the interior and exterior of numerous gyms in the jungle, I can confidently say that fitness-conscious gym goers have no idea what they are missing with the Printing House Gym on 421 Hudson Street. When entering from the secluded doorway, who knew what an incredible maze of fitness opportunity lay ahead. The gym contains a boxing ring, 3 floors of endless workout equipment, 4 locker rooms, multiple squash courts, an ariel rooftop view of the entire city, and my personal favorite- a pool with a continuous swim. The gym is located on the 9th floor above an apartment, giving an incredible scenic view at such a height that the city sounds and pollution are almost completely filtered. In NYC, fresh air and the sounds of silence are rare. Yet this gym has the ingredients to provide such a tranquil atmosphere.
